- eximius 6y ago> Our keyboard is made of 100% machine milled plastic sourced from the rarest polyurethane plants. Oh, every sentence of this is a treat.
- IshKebab 6y agoKind of ironic that they'd highlight that you actually can't (legally) copy & paste code from StackOverflow. All of the content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, which means in theory you should attribute all your copy & pasting to StackOverflow (ok I sometimes do that), and you have to license your copy under the same license (nobody does this). There's a good post about the issue here: https://empirical-software.engineering/blog/so-snippets-in-gh-projects https://empirical-software.engineering/blog/so-snippets-in-g... Of course in practice nobody cares.
- joseluisq 6y agoIt looks like these guys have taken serious the copy/paste recurrence and now you can copy/paste on steroids.
- cblconfederate 6y agoI have ran out of my free copy/pastes for today. Is anyone selling theirs on ebay?
- usui 6y agoWhen I went onto Stack Overflow, I copy-and-pasted a snippet of JSX from a thread about in-line styling with z-index. When I saw the rate-limited copy-paste functionality at the bottom right of the screen, I was already riled up and ready to be upset, outrage machine booting and all. I'd completely forgotten what day it was and just how quickly I bought into the fact that the tech industry isn't too far off from pulling something like this—maybe even worse. Did anyone else fall for it or am I too gullible?
