- fallingfrog 6y agoI’d be interested in hearing from someone who is an expert: is this accurate, is there a consensus in the field that this is a real effect and phthalates are to blame? Are there peer reviewed studies saying so?
- oji0hub 6y agoLooks like it. Also from the article: "One study published in 2017 found that sperm levels among men in Western countries had dropped by more than 50% over the past four decades after examining 185 studies involving close to 45,000 healthy men."

- oji0hub 6y agoThey didn't mention that so I assume they're more generally referring to the claims made in the article.
- loveistheanswer 6y agoResearch indicates the growing obesity epidemic likely plays a big role in this equation as well.
- anm89 6y agoI like the idea that a group of scientists got tired of warning people about climate change and being ignored so they just figured it would be easier to say "pollution will make your dick smaller"
