Seeing these news I was wondering if the governments have to be more cautions with these suspensions. I.e. as far as I understand there is no evidence so far that the clotting is caused by the actual vaccine. And obviously if you vaccinate millions of people, people will die from all sorts of reasons after the vaccine no matter what. However if you suspend the vaccine and announce it, that may affect the desire of people to take the vaccine. So the net effect of being too cautious here may be more deaths.
- TheBlight 6y agoThe government is correct when they say masks and lockdowns will stop the virus but they are incorrect when they say the vaccine may be dangerous.
- frabert 6y agoI don't understand what you're trying to imply here. Should I be taking your sentence at face value, or are you saying that there is no evidence that masks and lockdowns stop the spread of the virus, and that there is sufficient evidence that the vaccine does more harm than good?
- TheBlight 6y agoJust summarizing the social media consensus and resultant commentary. The one true narrative.
- maxerickson 6y agoThey need clear, careful messaging and really need to avoid playing 9-dimensional chess with it all. For example, people thinking that problems with the vaccine are being covered up could also lead to reluctance.
- throwaway4good 6y agoThe adverse effects of vaccination are definately being censored. Probably for the greater good. But censored non the less.
- amelius 6y agoTo make it more complicated, there is also the "nocebo effect". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocebo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocebo
- chiefalchemist 6y agoThat raises a good question: When the vacinnes are tested, is there a control who are given water or something harmless? Or is the control the broaded not jabbed population?
- CorrectHorseBat 6y agoThe control group gets a placebo
- throwaway4good 6y agoIt really should be possible with proper use of statistics to get a handle on this.
