Nvidia engineers had to know that this would happen. This always seemed like a PR move to win points with gamers. In reality, I'm sure they don't care who buys those cards or what they are used for, as long as they sell.
- IshKebab 6y agoThey definitely do care - they want miners to buy the more expensive card that they've released specifically for mining. Very similar to how they banned large scale use of gaming cards from being used for AI - they want the wealthy AI companies to buy their more expensive AI cards instead.
