Do you have examples of super simple software that are intuitive for 5 yearolds?
I'm stuck on figuring out how to simplify the software product, and was wondering if the community knows of any good products to share for inspirations!
Currently we have a MVP to put together interview questions to prepare students/undergrads for their interviews. Would love to get some feedback on how to make it easier.

- mixer 6y agoMy 3 and 5 year old kids have no issue using an iPad.
- chovybizzass 6y agoany apple product.
- xueyongg 6y agoGood point on the apple products. I love apple too. Realized i needed to sharpen the question. Haha
- webmaven 6y agoTuxPaint, perhaps.
- cpabaraboo 6y agoMost five year olds are just learning to read, so it's helpful to have visual cues like pictures or colorful areas on the screen so you can instruct them to, say, 'make a selection from the blue area' or 'click on the part next to the circles'. After a quick look at your app, I think it could use more visual cues which are appropriate for your users.
- xueyongg 6y agoThank you so much for the feedback! Visual cues sounds about right. Big clickable areas so its super intuitive
- jolmg 6y agoYouTube
- xueyongg 6y agoIs youtube super user friendly though? Hm
- jolmg 6y agoI think I don't know of a more user-friendly software than YouTube. I have one cousin that learned how to search on it since 3 and a half years old and another at 4 years old. The 4 year old learned to search on their own by hitting the mic icon and saying what they wanted to watch. And you don't even need to know how to search to use it. It's just a matter of selecting a video from the recommended list and hitting the "skip" button. That's all. I wouldn't be surprised if a baby learned how to use it from the moment they're able to see clearly and have enough motor skills on their arm to tap stuff on a phone, maybe after watching their parents select videos for a few days. I'd be hard-pressed to find a 5-year-old that wouldn't already know how to use YouTube. It's probably easier to train a dog to use YouTube than to play fetch. (maybe this last one is an exaggeration... maybe..)
