I had this exact issue and had to disable SIP to disable swap because I was swapping over 2TB a day. Everyone I chatted to online about it jumped over themselves to tell me I was an idiot, and I somehow needed to swap even though I have 16gb ram.
Needless to say I'm having a little chuckle. It's a lesson for us all about blindly believing things.
- webmobdev 6y agoDid you notice any performance hit after disabling swap? Even 16 Gb RAM doesn't seem enough ...
- salusinarduis 6y agoNot a thing, though I didn't benchmark! Only stupid thing is you can't run iOS apps while SIP is disabled, and re-enabling SIP turns swap back on. iOS apps aren't something I care about so it doesn't really affect me.
