Everything Bubble
- anm89 6y agoI truly believe this will prove to be a bubble but I also think there is a lot of hubris in calling something a bubble before it pops. Is Amazon a bubble? Is Netflix a bubble? Is bitcoin a bubble? Is Uber a bubble? Is the dollar a bubble? Are near zero yield bonds a bubble? Even if you agree on the general premise of the everything bubble, most people would disagree on the specifics and it is at least within possibility that this bubble melts up and never pops. So basically, call it a bubble when it bursts, and put your chips on the table until then.
- nodesocket 6y agoIt's also amusing that "bubble people" can also continue to be wrong and bearish for long periods of time, and then ultimately when there is a correction, bear market, or god-forbid crash they scream from the rooftops "I told you so!!!" Except for the fact that they missed out on untold fortunes and profits being bearish that entire time.
- imtringued 6y ago>Except for the fact that they missed out on untold fortunes and profits being bearish that entire time. That's how bubbles form. The rationally irrational know there are gains to be had by being irrational. It's pretty sad that this is something to brag about.
- mshumi 6y agoIt's more likely to be a crash up than a crash down. Interpret that as you like.
- lovecg 6y agoWow 100% of comments so far are bullish. My contrarian spidey senses are tingling...
