Scientists Achieve Real-Time Communication with Lucid Dreamers
- VistaBrokeMyPC 6y agoThis is WILD. Hopefully someday I'll be able to record my dreams and revisit them, since I have terrible dream recall after I'm awake for >5mins. The possibility of two way communication from inside a lucid dream sparks a bunch of promising avenues for further research... What if we could feed complex problems to lucid dreamers, or draw on one's creativity while dreaming to extract some crazy ideas similar to Salvatore Dali falling asleep holding a spoon, waking up when he dropped it, and painting what he saw?

- Out_of_Characte 6y agoAnyone who hasn't had a lucid dream shoud listen up and try some of the techniques out there. The surreality of waking up in your dream and finally realising the absurdity you find yourself in is an unique experience. Once you're grounded in your dream it feels like you can remember things you've never seen and bring them to life. the simple three tricks I use to help lucid dreaming are 1. Pushing my index finger in the palm of my other hand during the day, in a dream your brain fails to emulate this task properly and you'll push your index finger right trough where you think your hand is supposed to be. 2. Writing down dreams in as much detail as possible. Just meditate and think of nothing but your dream and push yourself for details you think you cannot possibly remember, because you can remember them. 3. Consistent sleep schedule and try to get in touch with when you enter deep sleep, rem sleep or when you wake up. The more awareness in those 8 hours, the more controll you can exercise. meditate and write them down. additional information: https://luciddreamsociety.com/beginners-lucid-dream-guide/ https://luciddreamsociety.com/beginners-lucid-dream-guide/ carefull of snakeoil, theres alot of pseudo science out there as the concept itself doesn't lend itself to be very scientific.
- pmiller2 6y agoThis is some serious sci-fi shit right here. Anybody know of any fiction that uses something like this as a plot device?
- nightowl_games 6y ago> Roughly 18 percent of the trials resulted in this level of clear and accurate communication from the dreamer; 17 percent produced indecipherable answers, 3 percent ended with incorrect responses, and 60 percent did not provoke any response at all. Sounds like a stretch to label this as a success. What are the chances that a "correct" response was randomly encountered?
