  On the other hand, previous leadership in the U.S. waged a trade war, believing that it would be easily winnable. So there is echo, though not a repeat.

      Hard to say. Nobody really wins, but China seems to be playing a bit nicer which could count long term. Maybe.

        Administrations on one side changed, for reasons seemingly unrelated to the "trade war". It remains to be seen how this will affect the "trade war".
