A lot of people get confused about this with p2p type stuff. At ZeroTier we constantly have to explain to people that it is not Tor, and we get bug reports about how "people can see my IP!" Of course they can see your IP. You are communicating directly with them. End-to-end encryption means content privacy but not necessarily meta-data privacy or anonymity.
