Looks like they followed in Sophie Wilson's footsteps by designing their own ARM chip! Maybe this will feed into their next iteration of the Raspberry Pi, one hopes?
- las_balas_tres 6y agoThey most likely just licensed the ARM IP.
- ChrisRR 6y agoIt's odd, I can't figure out why they designed their own silicon (obviously not from scratch) I'm guessing they expected to sell so many that they'd recoup the tooling costs.
- Narishma 6y agoThey did not. They designed the SoC but the ARM part is just a regular Cortex M0+.
