One project I was thinking of doing was creating a database of microcontrollers from all the vendors in one place. This was actually something that crossed my mind - would I even be allowed to host datasheets? It would be impossible to get all the vendors to agree to anything and it seems like TI at least does NOT want anyone hosting their information. I suppose a simple URL would be OK though!
