I don't know how else you would govern a billion people, not all of them identifying as Han Chinese too. So in a way it makes sense. Wish it was more humane and democratic though.
- raxxorrax 6y agoWhy would you need DNA to govern? An example please. Didn't think too long about it, but aside from organ trade I didn't really have enlightening ideas. To get demographic data? To eat the correct penises to enhance your libido? I am burning for answers to be honest.
- wowzers123 6y agoYou're right, I completely assumed DNA as any other data point about a person. Except it is quite clear there is no need for that unless you are planning on super soldiers research, or some other way of separating people through genetics (violence like genocide, or a sort of discriminant for creating an elite class). Both of these sound more like Nazi Germany, but we are also coming from a western tradition of democracy and individualism. But again, there really shouldn't be a need for DNA collection of EVERYONE, that's Orwellian.
