Withrawing GitHub-Backup
- SftwreEngnr 6y agoOk
- ncmncm 6y agoAll this would be moot if the issues, PRs, discussion and everything were also in the (or a) git repository, so pulling would get everything, just as a matter of course. I admit I was shocked, in the day, and appalled to discover that was not the way the site worked already.
- colejohnson66 6y agoFossil is supposedly an alternative to Git that keeps the PRs, wikis, etc in the repo. The big problem is everyone knows GitHub, but if there were a “FossilHub”, who would know? Not to mention that hiring managers and clueless recruiters only care about GitHub and nothing else. What GitHub needs is a way to not just pull the repository’s code, but the entire repository (code, wiki, etc.)
