VS Code is fine and I actually use it quite a bit. Whoever says, it is "hella fast" either never used a really fast text editor or only compares it to Atom.

- spoopyskelly 6y agoIt's probably because the author is 12 years old. He says hella, bananas and has Beyonce quotes on his list.
- bsenftner 6y agoThat "hella fast" comment renders his recommendation list suspicious.
- k4rli 6y agoVSCodium (https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium) is a better alternative. Same but no Microsoft branding and telemetry.
- WalterGR 6y agoIt’s highly improbable that telemetry slows Code down enough (or even by a perceptible amount) that a user would find it “slow” vs. VSCodium.
