Apple is already $2 trillion? If we think it as a bad company, is it too late, is it already too big to stop?

- donkeyd 6y agoPlease don't stop them, I really don't want to be forced to buy an Android phone.
- fsflover 6y agoYou don't have to: https://puri.sm/products/librem-5 https://puri.sm/products/librem-5
- matwood 6y agoSo a huge step backwards (it doesn't even have NFC) for principles I guess.
- fsflover 6y agoYou cannot achieve perfection from the first step...
- zepto 6y agoSure but there is no reason to force people not to buy what they want.
- fsflover 6y agoWhat are your talking about? I suggested an alternative, didn't force anyone to do anything.
- zepto 6y agoThe thread is about stopping Apple and people being forced to buy Android.
- fsflover 6y agoExactly, and I said that we have more than just two choices, i.e., stopping Apple does not force you to buy Android.
- zepto 6y agoYes, but it does force people not to buy what they want. Adding another alternative doesn’t change that.
- fsflover 6y agoIf you want Apple then an alternative will indeed not help you. If you don't want Android then the alternative provides an opportunity not to be forced into Android.
- zepto 6y agoSure, but as I said, that’s not what this thread was about.
- fsflover 6y agoI disagree. The original quote: "I really don't want to be forced to buy an Android phone". One can interpret it in a way that the person does not want to be forced into Android as the only alternative to Apple. In this case, my comment should be helpful.
- zepto 6y agoYou edited out the first sentence which read: “Please don’t stop them.”
- donkeyd 6y agoSure. But I also wouldn't be able to use all the mainstream apps for communication, navigation, etc.
