- ognarb 6y agoCongrats to the GCompris developers! The 1.0 update looks fabulous.

- baq 6y agomy kids love gcompris. well done!
- loup-vaillant 6y agoThe first maintainer of GCompris was my boss at some point. I've met few people as competent as he was, and none that were as competent and as kind. Working under him was a joy.
- bdoin 6y agoHi Loup, glad to hear from you in so laudatory term. By the way, could you please post this message on my LinkedIn ;)
- O_H_E 6y agoAaaa, HN at work again. Wholesome.
- loup-vaillant 6y agoI don't (or no longer) have a Linkedin account. :-( But I'll remember if I ever subscribe, promise. Seriously though, you're a role model to me.
- throwaway_pdp09 6y agoFYI from the site, as I'd no idea "GCompris is a high quality educational software suite, including a large number of activities for children aged 2 to 10"
- password4321 6y agoGCompris is a high quality educational software suite, including a large number of activities for children aged 2 to 10. Had not heard of this before & will definitely be checking it out.
- TheAdamAndChe 6y agoMy 2 year old daughter plays this regularly. She's gotten much better at touching fish on the screen, and is just starting to explore the app a ton beyond that one game. Thank you! This app is a positive addition to the world.
- alexis2b 6y agoFor the non-French speaking audience, the name GCompris reads out “j’ai compris” which means “I understood”. Nice pun!
- mormegil 6y agoJust a few weeks ago I found a guide to computer education for children at https://github.com/xsuchy/programovani_pro_deti https://github.com/xsuchy/programovani_pro_deti (sorry, Czech only) which mentioned GCompris. So I tried it and my children love it! Thanks for a great no-nonsense no-ads educational tool!
- gupta2140 6y agoCongrats to the GCompris team! Huge milestone, and looking forward to more amazing things coming ahead ;)
