The drug war is collapsing. There's going to be a crunch on social security and medicare soon as more boomers retire, so the budget vultures will be circling. The DEA will search frantically for a reason to exist, something they can bring to congress to justify their funding.
- gogopuppygogo 6y agoI’d throw a party when they are dissolved. Horrible abuses of our civil rights in the name of protecting us from drugs (something they have unequivocally failed to succeed at).
- the_only_law 6y agoAfter the recent ballots in many states decriminalizing various drugs, I saw a number of memes congratulating "drugs" on "winning the war on drugs".
- da_big_ghey 6y agoI saw a joke on that the other day: After hearing about Oregon's recent de-criminalization of hard drugs, a bunch of druggies were celebrating by doing cocaine in a public park. An officer walks up to them and says, "Is that a plastic straw?"
