You don’t own the games, you own a licence to play them which is suspended when your account is. If you want to own the games, pirate them.

- nix23 6y ago>If you want to own the games, pirate them. Complete BS, you can use GOG or HumbleBundle.
- zouhair 6y agoI have hundreds of games on Steam, what should I do? Buy them again? Valve needs to be sued t smithereens to let people sell or gift the game they paid for.
- selfhoster11 6y agoI don't know why you got downvoted. This is a legitimate point in this discussion. You've sunk hundreds or thousands of $currency into DRM-ed content that you then get locked out of. What's the recourse?
- zouhair 6y agoYup[0] [0]: https://i.imgur.com/XGNJumm.png https://i.imgur.com/XGNJumm.png
- nix23 6y agoSome of those games can be "connected": https://www.gog.com/connect https://www.gog.com/connect >Valve needs to be sued t smithereens to let people sell or gift the game they paid for. 1. We should first checkout why he was banned. 2. Did he tried to click the exe without starting up steam? 3. If your are logged out of your DRM system...for sure you cannot use any DRM protected stuff...is that different with let's say Xbox/Netflix? Is it good..no, did i said exactly that, in the year 2k...YES!
- zouhair 6y agoHis story being true or not is besides the point, I just asked Valve support if I could bequeath my account to someone when I die and their response was no[0]. This is not right. The fight is starting in France[1]. - 1123581321 6y agoIf this is a concern, leave your family instructions how to change the name and the email address on the account. I’ve seen several of my Steam friends transfer their libraries to their children this way (while living.)
- m-p-3 6y agoThe size of each library is not even comparable. Unless the AAA games that just came out is made by CDPR, you won't see it on GOG without waiting for many years.
- selfhoster11 6y agoTell that to people who wanted to play The Outer Worlds on GOG until a short time ago.
- nix23 6y agoThen stay with steam or write your XY Dev that you will not buy the game when it's just on steam...you all have always the big mouth that you vote with your wallet...so do it, even when it hurts sometimes.
- SirLotsaLocks 6y agoI agree with you for the most part, but unless you are organized with a very large group of people, voting with your wallet doesn't really accomplish anything.
- baud147258 6y agoLast time I checked, HumbleBundle was mostly selling Steam keys anyway, so you're still stuck with a licence to play a game.
