- ponker 6y agoI hope at least one person has all of WCD archived.
- hosteur 6y agoWCD and RED?
- jcul 6y agoWhat CD and Redacted. What CD was a private music tracker. It's hard to describe the range of music that was there. And there was a huge community that really knew its music so you could discover some really cool music through collections and the forum. Redacted is the tracker that rose up as it's replacement after What CD was shut down.
- stinos 6y agoCan you enlighten people who have no idea what these acronyms mean?
- delusional 6y agoRED is "redacted" and WCD is "What.CD", both are well known private torrent trackers. I don't get peoples obsession with only using acronyms when you can just Google "<acronym> tracker" and get the name.
- canofbars 6y agoWell red and wcd are about as useful as the full names if you don't know what they are. If you go to the website its just a login screen
- stinos 6y agoYou'd already need to know this is about trackers. Ok this is HN but that doesn't translate to 'people who know their way around in downloading anything they want' or so.
- dgeiser13 6y agoWho knew it was a tracker?
- iamacyborg 6y agoSoulseek is also still a thing, or was last time I checked.
- httpsterio 6y agoyou wouldn't happen to have an invite to Red? Been looking for a proper WCD replacement to rip and catalogue some obscure jazz.
- tortasaur 6y agoProviding invitations to random people on public forums is strictly prohibited, and can get the inviter's whole invite tree banned. Googling "RED interview" should provide you with an alternate pathway in, however.
