The thin line between fighting fake news and censorship
- raxxorrax 6y agoI think it is easy. Allow "fake news". In many cases the accusation against accuracy was an opinion anyway. And if you have people naively believing certain sources, you would even have larger problems. If you allow it however people might fall for some sketchy reporting and learn from their mistakes. It couldn't be an easier decision, especially if the fake info gets to people anyway. It is amazing that we have this discussion again, meanwhile esoteric opinions have multiplied already. With a little less stupidity, this could have been avoided. And I don't mean the stupidity of people believing the wrong stuff. Everybody does at some point. I mean the stupidity of people trying to combat "fake news".
