Google Wave’s Failure Is a Great Lesson for Modern Real-Time Collaboration Tools
- raxxorrax 6y agoI think it was ahead of its time to be honest. Today I wouldn't want to use it due to privacy concerns and am glad it didn't catch on. The tool itself was quite great in my opinion.
- gjvc 6y agoI would (still) love to use it as a shared knowledge space between collaborators, running a private instance. I am not sure of the details, but they added trust relationships / "federation" between separate instances of wave. Like the Apple Newton, it's a great example of a useful tool that missed the market of the time.
