So Pixel 5 came after 6P. Google's naming remains confusing.
- zhaso 6y agoSo did Pixel 1, 2, 3, and 4. It's a completely different product line/branding from (Nexus) 6P.
- Octoth0rpe 6y agoPixel 5 came after the Nexus 6p. The iPhone SE 2 also came out after the iPhone 8.
- ogre_codes 6y agoNot that this is much better, but there is no iPhone SE 2. It is just the iPhone SE.

- johnasmith 6y agoThe pixel series has been very reasonably named. Pixel 1, Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, Pixel 5. You're mixing in Nexus 6P, of the Nexus line, which ended five years ago.
- dheera 6y agoThe Nexus line was named after the number of inches, not chronologically. Nexus 4 = 4 inches, Nexus 5 = 5 inches, Nexus 6 = 6 inches, Nexus 7 = 7 inches, Nexus 9 = 9 inches. Newer versions within the same number of inches were dealt with by smacking some arbitrary letters like "X" and "P" and sometimes the year "(2013)" in the case of Nexus 7.
- ashishb 6y agoAn average user doesn't called it Pixel, Nexus, whatever. For them, it is the Google phone. Only geeks care about such nuances.
