This sounded like: we changed our routine and then had our most productive week ever. While I think there is a point to what they are saying, I wouldn't take the fact that they had a great week as proof of a better work methodology. If people had voted to have ice cream every morning they might also have had a really productive week because ice cream is fun and changing the routine is fun. But I wouldn't bet the farm on making a company more productive in the long run with ice cream breakfasts.
