Show HN: DailyMap – build your own planner using mind maps
- 1g0rrr 6y agoHi, I wanted to make a planning system that would be simple on the one hand, and on the other hand, could be assembled for individual needs like a constructor. I played with mind maps for some time and in the end, the system appears quite consistent. What do you think?
- ipfaffy 6y agoI like this concept a ton- I tried to sign up and it to me to another page that was blank. Would love to try it whenever you get the initial issues worked out.
- 1g0rrr 6y agoJust try again please, or try another sing up method. There are small and known bugs with login, but the app itself should work.
- bryan_w 6y agoQuestion: can it carry over uncompleted tasks from the day before?
- 1g0rrr 6y agoYes, there is ‘Copy next day’ option to move branches. You can see how it works on the first demo video. This approach (without auto carry over) helps the user to start a new day with a fresh interface. Because usually, task managers get messy with old tasks after some time.
- winrid 6y agoLooks like a free version of mind meister, with some nice features that MM doesn't have. I like it! I guess the only issue is reliability/hosting. I trust my daily .todo to be there the next morning - can I trust this?
- 1g0rrr 6y agoThanks for the feedback. Yes, local/reliable hosting is something to think about. For now, the app made with Firebase. If there will be enough demand for the app I can make another option in the future.
- BonPro 6y agoi like how it looks like! feels simple and not too complicated
- 1g0rrr 6y agoThanks! That was the main goal. Glad that you noted this.
- napier 6y agoLooks interesting! I'll take it for a spin. If you could change the app homepage to not hijack scrolling on macOs Chrome, that would be great.
