During this pandemic, the deplorables continued to farm and deliver food, keeping us alive while the elites burned our cities down. (Dr. VDH.)
The deplorables voted in Trump because the elites couldn't be bothered enforcing immigration (the wall) or maintaining factory jobs in the USA (outsourcing to China.) (Dr. VDH.)
So I would suggest you develop an understanding of how our country was hollowed out before criticizing the very people the elites destroyed financially.
Regarding religion, at the moment, our young people worship Tinder hookups and Instagram selfies, the twin gods of narcissism, instead of Jesus, resulting in the total destruction of the family unit. How's that working out? (RPMH)
FYI: you sound exactly like the coastal elites that got us into this mess. The California HSR is a perfect example of how worthless they are - all hot air, no rail.
When Trump wins his second election by a landslide, you can refer to this post for the reasons why.
- krageon 6y agoYou present a lot of opinions but not really anything to back them up. Furthermore, this is incredibly US-centric in a way that's just not relatable at all if you're not mired in all the tv drama there.

- redis_mlc 6y agoI don't see how there can be any confusion over which country I was talking about, since Trump is the current US President. "Deplorables" is a pejorative term used in US politics by the Democratic party to describe what HNers call "flyover country," or the country's interior. Hillary Clinton basically lost the 2016 Presidential election by using that term. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basket_of_deplorables https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basket_of_deplorables For those unfamiliar with US politics, the Democratic party is the one that's supposed to represent that class of citizens. Instead, it's run by near-octogenarian elites who have disdain for anybody in their former political base who can't write a campaign check. American elites and oligarchs sold out the US poor and middle class with illegal immigration and Chinese outsourcing to reduce labor costs. Of course, that meant impoverishing the lower rungs of society, resulting in the meth and oxy epidemics, and those classes voted in Trump. If you're a US citizen and any of the above is unfamiliar to you, then you should be more engaged. Those are the seeds of the BLM and antifa protests, and the arson of our city cores is only an outward sign of the rot in American society. The fact that the Republican Party is headed by a Trumpist, and the Democratic Party by somebody recognized as too senile to participate in a debate, sounds like ancient Roman times, but here we are.
