Nah it’s well proven that social programs work. I was pointing out that most people in prison aren’t violent offenders, let alone rapists, and that we shouldn’t let those kinds of arguments sway us. It’s worth saying that people don’t stop being rapists or raping people once incarcerated; further there are hundreds of thousands of rapes each year in the US. If incarceration is supposed to stop rape, it’s not working.
