Hate to be that guy, but why is this Medium post paywalled? I don't think it makes sense for an enterprise blog that also advertises career opportunities.
Is it some sort of bad default from Medium's side?
- freedomben 6y agoIt's a number of articles per month limit. Open it in an incognito tab.
- Melanthios 6y agoIt's not paywalled for me. Medium has this policy that you get a certain number of free articles views per day or something. It also sometimes blocks certain browsers, but this I am unsure of.
- marcusestes 6y agoPaywalled for me too. It's ridiculous to use Medium for corporate content at this point. This company has paywalled a front page HN story.
- realSaddy 6y agoI think the writers decide if it is paywalled (if it is they get paid). Still would prefer just having ads but I guess adblock is too popular for its audience.
- pixelrevision 6y agoYou’ve probably viewed another article or 2 on medium. If you open in a private tab the paywall will likely not be there.
- joe_the_user 6y agoMedium apparently allows X many reads for per month for certain account levels. Somehow this policy seems more petty, vicious and stupid than honest to gawd paywalls. Medium is just blogging site. Boycott it. It's awful. Wordpress or whoever just has adds.
