- erentz 6y agoDoes it? Example of what you mean? Note it appears a majority of Facebooks top ten posts are from right wing sources. [1] This is not me suggesting a bias on the part of FB, but it‘s a clear data point against the now common talking point that “the right” are persecuted victims, not fairly represented on the Internet. - trident1000 6y agoIm talking across the entire corporate landscape especially in tech and media...and institutionally in academia.
- throwaway1801 6y agoThere’s more concentration of media on the right. It’s why Fox News can have the highest ratings in spite of the media being dominated by the left. You have to look at the long tail of content and the distribution over all content. How many smaller right wing creators are censored vs left wing?
- trident1000 6y agoLiterally had my comment to you as flagged and removed. Point proven.
- bikeshed 6y agoNot really.
- sanderjd 6y agoThe other post asking for examples is downvoted, but I think your statement could really use some. I can only think of one highly visible one, and it's interesting how much it reminds me of this one, though on the opposite side. But more examples would be illuminating.
- aaron695 6y agoIronically the left has gone so mentally insane they are also cannibalising centre left now, but I think this list is ok - https://twitter.com/SoOppressed/status/1282404649522343936 https://twitter.com/SoOppressed/status/1282404649522343936 I think you are being disingenuous perhaps, unless I don't understand your context. Wormgate was for instance about a scientist insulting a roundworm, and because a worm is small it really means they are insulting minorities. They are not fired, yet. https://www.thedailybeast.com/worm-joke-causes-science-twitter-flame-war-over-accusations-of-sexism-and-racism https://www.thedailybeast.com/worm-joke-causes-science-twitt...
- modo_mario 6y ago>Ironically the left has gone so mentally insane they are also cannibalising centre left now American political alignment definitions never cease to amuse me. I checked your twitter link tho and right of the bat the first is someone making a menu with watermelon water & cool aid for black history month and then lying it was set up by black colleagues. If there was no malintent they shouldn't be fired based on that but I'd seriously doubt their mental capacities and worry bout em drawing a blackface caricature on the chalkboard outside with the same supportiveness. followed by ... some idiots organising segregated yoga classes asking white people to stay away and getting so much slack for it they closed down. You'd think that would show the opposite of what's intended by the OP. And whilst i have no intent of getting a subscription to a tabloid what I did see of the second link seems to imply a few retards got mad on twitter? I'd say among both libs and conservatives alike there's a huge drive to find loads of random specs of stupidity in a nation of hundreds of millions to be outraged about which serves to both vilify and build a strawman of the opposition whilst fuelling a victim-complex. It really works well too from a political perspective.
- dekhn 6y agoAvoid Michael Eisen's twittersphere. You will be a better person for it (he is right that C.elegans is a very boring but useful model organism. The two main phenotypes it has are "dumpy" and "uncoordinated".
