Are those bozos who piloted their boats into the recovery area breaking any laws?
- herpderperator 6y agoThey're part of the SpaceX team, working to secure the landing and check for leaks since the main recovery ship won't arrive for another hour. Edit: Oh, there was another boat the parent comment was referring to.
- spike021 6y agoNah, there was a shot of regular civilian vessels (some with Trump flags).

- bottlelion 6y agoThere are a few private boats out there as well. One with a Trump 2020 flag just cruised through the camera shot.
- jcims 6y agoThere's a veritable crowd around the recovery boat now, lol. 3:13p EST
- mymacbook 6y agoI don’t know was weird to see a Trump flag and I realized they were not part of recovery effort. Sounds like SpaceX announced they landing coordinates and that’s why they were able to get out there.

- xwdv 6y agoNo, it’s international water and they have every right to be there.
- ceejayoz 6y agoTry getting close to a warship in international waters and you'll find that right has some... functional limits, though.
- tyingq 6y agoNot just a warship. Regular boats are also fed up with piracy and have some pretty nasty countermeasures.
- api 6y agoGreenpeace used a non-lethal attack involving stink bombs from hell... glass bottles filled with some kind of oily sulfurous compound that got on everything. I wonder if anyone in commercial shipping does that. Definitely not something you would want to test.
