Angry Nerds
- brianwillis 16y agoLadies and gentlemen, April Fool's day has arrived (at least in Australia).
- geuis 16y agoYup. Wouldn't mind seeing this as a real web game though. Could be fun.
- kbutler 16y agoBut I'd really like the T-shirt. Please?
- Peroni 16y agoI'll second that. I would happily pay good money for that shirt.
- mrkns 16y agoMe too, the shirt rocks. Or please share the image in HQ!
- Carlfish 16y agoI work there. Half the office wants one of those tshirts.
- geuis 16y agoHere ya go, an Angry Nerds t-shirt. http://bit.ly/e9OESa http://bit.ly/e9OESa

- MartinCron 16y agoI had a lot more respect for this before I realized it was an April Fools joke. Why limit such creativity to one day in April that's just awash in the inane?
- brianwillis 16y agoI don't think anyone here truly thinks that there's a time restriction on creativity. April Fool's day just gives us all an excuse to be a little silly, and collectively indulge in some light humour. If anything, the day acts as a sort of prompt for this kind of creative work. It doesn't limit creativity, stuffing it into a once-a-year box. Instead, it encourages more creative projects that otherwise wouldn't occur.
- wladimir 16y agoHaha, I was very enthusiastic, finally a fun game I'd like to play. Then was disappointed when I realized it was an April Fool's joke. It's really funny though. Props for Atlassian.
- erik_p 16y agoThe level design is a little repetitive... :P
- Brashman 16y agoI'd love to see the Nerds vs Plants mentioned.
- RK 16y agoMy personal experience is that plants die when I try to keep them. But I can't decide if that's me beating them or them beating me...
- dcosson 16y agoHaha, this is awesome. And fairly accurate.
- zzzmarcus 16y agoI love the "Cease and desist - Rovio" testimonial. Wouldn't surprise me if that became a reality since they're selling merch. Awesome idea though.

- pufuwozu 16y agoTry filling out the order form ;) Rovio was invested in by Accel Partners - the same group that invested $68m into Atlassian. There's a bit of a connection.
- Jd 16y agoI can't decide which I like better, "In 80 characters or less, define a class object" or Chuck Norris jokes I've heard lately.
- xiaomai 16y agoWhat happens if you fill out the form (for the lazy like me)?
- davidmurphy 16y agoread the questions....
- statictype 16y agoThe submit button doesn't seem to do anything.
- w1ntermute 16y agoIt's a Google Doc, so I'm guessing they collect the data you entered, but that's it.
- sitkack 16y agoYou can't lose. Lame.
- gaius 16y agoThe only way to win is not to play

- thascales 16y agoOoh! I'm really good at this game!

- Stormbringer 16y agoThe Agilista More process than progress. This dev fails fast and fails often. Special Move: Drops a jargon bomb on each level. Priceless :D
- adamtmca 16y agoThat was my favourite too. Awesome.
- fjw 16y agoShould have included at least one other level design.. definitely made me laugh though. Also: clicking on the App Store/Android link opens the game in full screen in case anyone is interested.
- halv01122 16y agoThe full screen mode is written with jQuery mobile.. it actually works pretty well on iPhone and Android.
- mr_pppoe 16y agoThe dev manager The most useless character in the game. Nobody is quite sure what this character does. Can't agree more, :P

- piaskal 16y agoWhat I love the most about it is that I don't see any flash there. It's all HTML.
- robin_reala 16y agoAfter having to deal with Atlassian Confluence it’s no surprise I’m angry. JIRA’s alright though.
- shadowhillway 16y agoThe best Atlassian product is one they didn't develop -- Manual JIRA! http://thedailywtf.com/Articles/Manual-JIRA-.aspx http://thedailywtf.com/Articles/Manual-JIRA-.aspx
- spenvo 16y ago(Despite just being a good joke) there's something to be said about the link between success and product familiarity/likeness. The "success" being that it got all of our attention (300+ votes on HN). It's more than just a cheap trick; companies copy ("learn from") each other's ideas and UI layouts all the time.
- brown9-2 16y agoIs the "nerds" hitting the ground rather than the pile of 0s and 1s a part of the joke?
- amitraman1 16y agoThis is the best one I've seen so far today. BTW, Angry Birds RIO is disappointing. I miss the pigs!
- coolkid 16y agolol thats the funnest game ever
- Raphael 16y agoAlso, try Happy Owls. http://hootsuite.com/happy-owls http://hootsuite.com/happy-owls
