Interesting strategy to deprecate x86 features, just make them slower and wait for compiler and language developers to avoid slow instructions like fire.
- imtringued 6y agoA slower pause instruction is still useful and you can even argue that it's better than the previous implementation because the pause instruction frees up time for hyper threading.
