  You seem to be looking at private schools which are going to pay higher, I’m talking about public. Also that dataset is not at all representative. In fact, it seems to skew high. Of the 9 big schools in my state, only 2 are listed and they are the 2 biggest. The biggest, wealthiest schools have higher paid executives. Of all the public schools in the country mine is probably a little below the median.
