- goatlover 6y agoThe monolith in Clarke's 3001 was lacking consciousness, although somehow Dave and Hal were conscious recreations, or whatever they were and communicated this to the main characters. I believe the humans were able to use that to sneak some sort of logic bomb inside and destroy it, but it's been a while.
