my assumption is that any degree is a marker of perseverance to people hiring. If you're hiring for an admin role, would you rather the person with the HS diploma or with the arts degree? I'm reluctant to admit I'd probably be pretty biased myself without great care (and most people are busy with their own concerns and prob don't care)
