- tareqak 7y agoThe link to the course is in the article, but I will post it here too: https://www.coursera.org/learn/the-science-of-well-being https://www.coursera.org/learn/the-science-of-well-being .
- greenyoda 7y agoIt looks like it's also available on YouTube (if you don't want to register on Coursera): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVext98k2eviHGwrB6tNNbvoGB3dUWk0F https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVext98k2eviHGwrB6tNN...
- greenyoda 7y agoCorrection: This YouTube link is just the first lecture of the course.
- cultofmetatron 7y agoThe world is a vast meaningless cruel existence that cares nothing about your accomplishments, trials, laments and accomplishments. The important thing is to set an endless string of arbitrary goals to distract yourself until you die.
- schaefer 7y agoI care about you and your delightful sense of sarcasm, friend.
- copperx 7y agoThat’s a great summary of what life is about in the first world. If you think that’s depressing, you’re taking it to literally.
- downshun 7y agoWhat do you mean by meaningless? :)
- gintery 7y agoI mostly agree, but we really have no way of telling if its meaningless or not.
- tim333 7y agoThat's a rather negative take. There are more upbeat ways to view it also.
- mamon 7y agoThe simplest way to achieve happines is: have a half of your brain surgically removed. The stupider you are, the happier you become, because happiness is basically the ability to ignore reality.
- Gollapalli 7y agoLol, as if the unhappy bastards at Yale have any business teaching happiness. Look up how many of their students are on SSRI’s
- TheCoelacanth 7y agoAs they say, "Those who can't do, teach".
