- namibj 7y agoA fair comparison would be e.g. CTR or incrementing the key for each block. This is a problem much lower.
- bitexploder 7y agoThat’s true. The analysis isn’t wrong, but it isn’t an algorithmic analysis. It’s just a quick statistical analysis that detects inherently bad properties for crypto. That was more my point. This kind of analysis isn’t bad but it’s just a sniff test.

- bitexploder 7y agoLook up “cryptographic right answers” and dig up the threads from HN on it. Basically, don’t do the crypto yourself (even using with algorithms/constructs)
