Here are some: - our clients (airlines) would very much prefer we use AWS over the smaller, lesser known offering. - AWS offer free promotional credits for startups. - AWS when utilized right (requires work) is not much more expensive than traditional hosting. - Etc...

  Maybe you haven't seen enough computers? :-p Internal IT departments or hosting providers meant for highly regulated environments can charge 5-10x that for a VM of a similar size :-)
