- egeozcan 7y agoIt's doing, ...interesting stuff, like rendering markdown on the client, but at least all the required assets are self-served. So it works with uMatrix. Hey, that's something in 2020! 15 years ago we were complaining about the .doc files, now we have the XML based .docx files that are at the very least parseable but we lost the XML based web in between. Now every website implements their own document format which needs to be opened with the executable it sends next to the content. You can try to parse the markup bits but you'll get zero semantic content, that's for sure.
- reaperducer 7y agoFrom the site: I am a data visualization software engineer. Based on this web site, this is a definition of "software engineer" of which I was previously unaware.
- gberger 7y agoPresumably, he makes _data visualization software_. For example Tableau.
- beckingz 7y agoOr builds data visualizations using code. D3 for example.
- anderspitman 7y agoThis. I work on the open source iobio tools: http://iobio.io/ http://iobio.io/

- winrid 7y agoI mean, it loads fast for me. I've definitely seen much much worse. If all sites were this fast I'd be happy.
- JohnFen 7y agoI suppose -- since I can't see anything on that page at all, I have to admit that it loads blazingly fast. But it couldn't be much worse.
- gregsadetsky 7y agoPerhaps it would have been overall simpler to link directly to the page's markdown content..? :-) https://anderspitman.net/entries/16/entry.md https://anderspitman.net/entries/16/entry.md
- anderspitman 7y agoNot a bad idea TBH. I should configure my server so that opens in the browser instead of downloading.
- a1369209993 7y agoDon't forget to add that specific url ( https://anderspitman.net/entries/16/entry.md https://anderspitman.net/entries/16/entry.md ) to the noscript block instead of the nigh-useless github link. Edit: Actually https://raw.githubusercontent.com/anderspitman/anderspitman.net/master/entries/16/entry.md https://raw.githubusercontent.com/anderspitman/anderspitman.... works fine already; can we change the submission URL to that?
