Current hospital lab tech I’ve seen can finish a CBC in seconds

  if they can reduce the amount of blood volume for a CBC that would be helpful. Especially for hospitalized patients - they often get a CBC, chemistry and liver panel daily and over time, you can see their blood counts trend downward so that they're mildly anemic when they get discharged
