Brendan has a lot of great content that gets posted here regularly: http://www.brendangregg.com/ http://www.brendangregg.com/ (I'm still trying find the time to get through it though).
There's also https://github.com/iovisor/bcc#tools https://github.com/iovisor/bcc#tools as an easy way to get started using BPF.
- swinglock 7y agoBrendans sharing is amazing, I have and am learning so much from it, as well as having referred others to it when they have a performance issue but missing the troubleshooting tools.
- ajor 7y agoI'd also recommend looking at bpftrace[1], which provides a simple DSL specifically for writing BPF programs and attaching them to events. (Disclaimer: I started the project) [1] https://github.com/iovisor/bpftrace/blob/master/docs/tutorial_one_liners.md https://github.com/iovisor/bpftrace/blob/master/docs/tutoria...
- thinkmassive 7y agoHe also has a book coming out this month, BPF Performance Tools http://www.brendangregg.com/bpf-performance-tools-book.html http://www.brendangregg.com/bpf-performance-tools-book.html
