Is there still a relationship in regards to reduction of power consumption with smaller feature sizes?
- wmf 7y agoYes, smaller transistors are more power efficient.
- imtringued 7y agoThe number of transistors grows faster than the power efficiency though, so the percentage of unused silicon (aka dark silicon) increases as you go smaller but keep the die size the same.
