China is not in any sense socialist or even communist. It lacks free health care, public housing, and state service provision. It is neither internationalist nor collectivist. It's a hybrid single party ethno-nationalist capitalist state, or if you prefer a fascist oligarchy.
The Chinese economy is overvalued, and economic growth is grinding to a halt despite massive government spending.

Every western country is a counter example.
- oefrha 7y agoRandomly throwing the "fascism" word around completely undermines any credibility you might have left. Also, I'll probably take World Bank's data more seriously than an unsubstantiated claim by some random guy on the Internet. Oh, and it wasn't me who brought up India as the counterexample.
- imustbeevil 7y ago> Fascism is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and of the economy > Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties. Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society. Using a word exactly correctly is not "random". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism
