- Gracana 7y ago> the SFPD filed my police report but explained to me that they would not investigate the matter or help me recover my stolen property since this is a civil dispute — meaning I needed to find the thief and negotiate with him in a civilized manner.
- balls187 7y agoThat's fine. I was replying to the parent comment who mentioned stolen goods on craigslist, not the person who lent their stuff to someone.
- kevin_b_er 7y agoIn the US Justice System, a $3500 camera theft is, by empirical evidence, insufficient to warrant the police to protect or serve.
