Having one remote is a huge advantage that a lot of people overlook. Most people don't want to think, "Oh, I'm using the Roku, which remote is that?" It sounds dumb, but it is a major barrier for both of my parents. I ended up just switching them both to Harmony remotes that I preprogrammed, which is far from ideal and most people won't want to do that.
