Would you trust some random generalist to design the airplane you're going to fly in?
- 1-6 7y agoThe world needs generalists to govern specialists (but not in the way the US government operates).
- marcosdumay 7y agoWould you trust people with no general knowledge to design something composed of many different mechanical, aerodynamic, electrical, electronic and human systems? Specialist programmers see no problem on reading values from an unreliable sensor and overriding the pilots decisions if the values are bad.
