DDG should warn about that.

Why? Genuinely, if you're using Chrome shouldn't you expect that they can see your browser history?

Because browsers should not phone home with private data, and if they do, it should be made obvious.

Do you mean When you search using google through ddg via !g bang operator, not when you search just using DDG (which uses bing apparently)?
- truebosko 7y ago
Ah yes, it's only when I use the !g bang operator. But if I recall, a selling point of DDG and searching Google via the operator was that lack of track-ability. Of course, again, I am using Chrome so not shocked, just notable.

!s or !sp give you SmartPage -- privacy-proxied Google search. !disconnect -> disconnect search Sort of. I find direct Google is more comprehensive. !bangs gives more bang searches: https://duckduckgo.com/bang?q= https://duckduckgo.com/bang?q= Ohers: https://duckduckgo.com/bang?q=search https://duckduckgo.com/bang?q=search https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/private-search-engines/ https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/private-search-engines/
