I had the NL40. The power supply fan was very loud considering how dog-slow it was. I hope they fixed that. I use a raspberry pi now, which is also slow but it's much, much smaller and cheaper in every way.
- wink 7y agoI have the N54L - it's pretty ok, it's silent. But it's absolutely not fast and also wasn't really back when I bought it :P
- kingosticks 7y agoI always suspected mine must be faulty since it was so loud. You could swap the power supply to something else but that was quite costly and left you with a sea of wires sticking out of your otherwise very smart case.
- talonx 7y agoI have been running an N36L with FreeNAS for 7 years now. I don't keep it running all the time, so it's not really a "NAS" anymore, but more of a backup system since I configured the disks to use RAID-Z.
