You wouldn't describe homeopathy or faith healing as "fighting" a disease. But TCM is endemic in China. Normal doctors in normal hospitals prescribe it alongside modern medicine. They also get a cut of the profit from sales. It's institutionalized ripping off of desperate people by giving them false hope.
