So it makes you lose control of the car except you can easily regain control of the car by manually steering it. How is this better than a spike strip?
- youeseh 8y agoIf the aim is fully autonomous driving then they'll have to account for both the "stickers on road" use-case and the spike strip use-case.
- imtringued 8y agoWhat's the point of a self driving car if it cannot even do the most basic task of following lanes? Tesla isn't exactly ahead of the competition and now they might even be behind regular lane assist.
- Piskvorrr 8y agoYou need to shadow the car's driving manually at any time, in case the lane assist gets confused. How is this better than no assist? Now you need to drive and babysit the car at the same time. (edit: "autopilot" is a confusing term, replaced with "lane assist")
